Many of our customers use employee incentive programs as a strategic tool, recognizing and rewarding employees for their hard work, dedication, and achievements as a way to boost morale, enhance productivity, and create a more engaged and motivated workforce.

The impact of these programs can be both profound and multifaceted, encompassing psychological, behavioral, and organizational dimensions. Let’s explore the various ways effective employee incentive programs can contribute to a more rewarding and content workplace.

When Yesenia Montiel and her husband relocated from California to Mexico in 2022 to be closer to her aging in-laws, she couldn’t believe what she saw.

“I was shocked at how many stray dogs there were,” says Yesenia, a Strategic Account Manager at OnFulfillment for the past six years. “Too many.”

It didn’t take long for this situation to land on their doorstep. Within a week of arriving at their new home slightly north of Veracruz, Yesenia and her husband were awakened by a dog crying outside their door. “I got up and saw the dog, who was shivering,” she recalls. “She had very little hair, which it turns out was caused by scabies, so she was very sick.” To make matters worse, someone had poured burnt motor oil on the animal, believing it would help with the scabies.

“I started crying,” says Yesenia. “We knew we had to do something, so we brought her into the garage, called a vet, and got her into treatment right away. After about three weeks, she was in pretty good shape—we were astonished at how quickly she recovered with the appropriate treatment.”

This will understandably sound a bit biased, but I’m convinced that here at OnFulfillment, we have the most talented, dedicated, and hardworking employees in the marketing and event fulfillment industry. Just ask our customers. This team makes me proud every day.

What’s even more impressive is the fact that this talent, dedication, and work ethic extends beyond the workplace. Many of our employees dedicate a good portion of their free time to improve and enhance their respective communities through various volunteer organizations.

To recognize these remarkable people, we are launching a new blog series called OnFulfillment Gives Back—our small effort to bring some positive attention to the good deeds our employees are doing to make the world a better place.

No one should be surprised to learn that expressing appreciation for a job well done is critical to creating a positive work environment, ensuring employee satisfaction, and contributing to company success.

According to a March 2022 survey conducted by OnePoll on behalf of Bonusly, nearly half of U.S. workers (46%) have left a job because they felt unappreciated, while 65% said they would work harder if their contributions were acknowledged by management. The importance of recognition isn’t limited to management; 65% of respondents said they would remain in a position with an unappreciative boss if their co-workers appreciated their work.

The dog days of summer are upon us. Long, hot days. Memorial Day is a distant memory; Labor Day is still nearly a month away.
